Transnational Cultural Cooperation and the Harmonious World

By Dr. Yu KepingDeputy Director, Central Compilation & Translation Bureau

Abstract:

The paper focuses on the relationship between transnational cultural cooperation and a harmonious world. The author believes that the harmonious world has been an ideal for human beings historically. This means harmony among people and nations, and between human society and nature. According to the author, international cooperation is the only way toward the harmonious world and the important dynamic for human progress. The international cooperation in the age of globalization is cooperation within cultural diversity. Such cooperation is mutually beneficial based upon universal equality and respect. To strengthen such cooperation requires cooperation between governments and citizens across the world.
