Cross-cultural Knowledge Management as a Challenge for Globalization in International Business
Mr. Wang Yiming, Member, Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress
Abstract: With more and more countries transferring to the market economic system (despite different market economic models), free trade theory has been accepted generally as a globally sustainable economic development trend. Various national markets are striding forward to complete their processes of opening. This will be a huge opportunity as well as a huge challenge for various governments and enterprises. However, the largest challenge will stem from cultural challenges. It is different languages, different systems, different laws, different ideas, different customs, different ethics and different cultures that create the most difficult problems in international business and these are the key points on which to judge the results and effectiveness of international businesses. |
