Prof. Liisa Salo-Lee: "Cross-cultural Communication and Application"

Cross-cultural Communication and Application

By Prof. Liisa Salo-Lee

Former President, Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research (SIETAR Europa); Professor, University of Jyvaskyla, Finland

 Abstract:

The paper will focuses on discussing the ability of international cross-cultural communication and some real application. Cross-cultural communication ability is a very thorny problem, and there are more and more researches that are engaged in the cross-cultural respect. However, a lot of this kind of researches shows that cross-cultural ability is based on the accumulation of transnational experience. Does cross-cultural ability can be learnt through training? Some respects can be trained, but some respects can't be taught, just as one psychologist pointed out. The paper will introduce some mode of France culture to everybody.
