Abstract:
Nowadays management methods are mostly defined within the Anglo-Saxon world. They reflect the spirit of those economic systems and their mindsets. Especially the Anglo-Saxon model of market economy has rolled towards the developing countries like an avalanche, taking with itself the Western instruments. However, the economic realities are changing. Actors from Asia (China in particular) are dominating the world markets. Their business models and skills could be relevant not only for companies from emerging markets but also for established players in the West. We’ll look at the leadership competences required for successful functioning in the global economy and focus particularly on cross-cultural communication skills as key for creating a bridge between the different types of managerial approaches, based on different value systems. |
