2016 Annual Conference of Education Forum for Asia was inaugurated in Chengdu,


November 8th morning,  2016 Annual Conference of Education Forum for Asia was inaugurated in Chengdu, China. This event is hosted by China New Technology Development Center-CAST, China Association of Higher Education, Sichuan Bureau of Expo Affairs and Chengdu Municipal Government. Organized by Secretariat of Education Forum for Asia and Distance Education in China Magazine. Co-organized by Macao Foundation, Macao Education and Youth Affairs Bureau, Macao Science Center, Macau University of Science and Technology, National Association for Early Childhood Education (Taiwan), National Education Society (Taipei), India China Economic & Cultural Council, China Vocational Education Association, Haidian District Vocational Education Group, China Society for Research on International Professional Personnel Exchange and Development, China Institute for Occupation Research, Peking University, China Council for Promoting Art Education, Preschool Education Committee of the Chinese Association for Non-Government Education, Scientific Popularization Press, Spiritual Ocean International Education Group, Ecological Development Union International, Chinese Intercultural Association, Cloud Learning Alliance, Zhonggao International Education Technology Group, ZCJC(BJ) Education Consulting Center, John Howkins Creative Ecology Lab, Oxford Interlink Ltd, Confucius International School Chengdu, CIE International Education Group, Sichuan International Exhibition Corp., E-learning Research Institute, China Internet Education Leadership Association, Education Forum for Asia Training Center, Eurasian Center for Education Development.

 

Followed by the Annual Conference of Education Forum for Asia in 2015, peoples attention once more drew by hot topics, such as Science and Technology in 2016 Annual Conference of Education Forum, Centered on the theme of “Innovating the Future”, the conference attracted delegates ranging from statesmen, diplomats, scholars, entrepreneurs and journalists; coming from Australia, Canada, USA, France, Germany, India, Malaysia, Israel, Thailand, ROK, Nepal, Pakistan, Singapore, Denmark, United Kingdom, Poland and other countries and regions and representatives. Also representatives coming from over 30 schools and education institutions, both at home and abroad, altogether adding up to 700 attendees in total.

 

Opening Ceremony & Plenary Conference is chaired by Xuming WANG, President of Chinese and Language Press, Former Spokesman of Ministry of Education. Yanrong HUANG, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee and Vice Party Secretary of Sichuan Provincial Government, Zuoshu WANG Chairman of China Association for Non-Government Education, Yanhu WANG, Members of the Secretariat and Finance Director of China New Technology Development Center, Zhenyuan QU, President of Higher Education Research Academy of China, Muhammad Azam Khan Swati, Senior Vice President of the Pakistan Movement of Justice, Former Minister of Science and Technology of Pakistan, Miroslaw Gajewski, Ambassador, Embassy of Poland to China, Gerhard Stahl, Former Secretary-General of European Committee of Regions, Mohan Munasinghe, Vice-Chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, OU Chi Leong, Chairman of the Macao Foundation, Wei YANG, Senior Counselor of Chengdu Municipal Government were giving welcoming remarks.

Subsequently, OBOR Chengdu Education Initiative is announced by Wang YAO, Consultant of Boao Forum for Asia, Secretary General of Education Forum for Asia. OBOR Chengdu Education Initiative 

 

Also, Charles Leadbeater, Anthor of We-think: the power of mass creativity, a leading authority on innovation and creativity, Li ZHANG, Director of National Center of Development and Research, Viktor MAYER-SCHÖNBERGER, Author of Big Data: A Revolution That Will Transform How We Live, Work and Think; Professor of Oxford University, Leong Lai, Director of Macao Education and Youth Affairs Bureau, Paul Judge, Founder of Judge Business School, University of Cambridge,  Yun LV, Co-founder and COO of VIVEDU, Executive Director of Big Data and Innovation Lab, Beihang University, Naghmana Rashid, Chairperson, Department Of Chemistry /Dean, Faculty of Sciences, AIOU delivered keynote speeches.
