The final award ceremony of the 8th “Asian Students Photography Exhibition” has been held at China Youth Daily. This photograph exhibition was organized by Education Forum for Asia, China Youth Daily, and China University Media Union，and co-organized by Pingyao International Photography Competition Organizing Committee.The theme of this photography exhibition is “Warm---Using photographs to deliver positive energy.” Since the initiate in May 2013, the "Asian Students Photography Exhibition" has attracted over 2100 photographs from more than 30 Asia & Pacific countries and regions, as well as from other continents across the world. 244 photographs were made to the finals. 37 pieces were awarded after the final award ceremony of this photography exhibition. Among them, 1piece of work was voted for the first prize; 3 photographs were selected for the second prize; the third prize has 8 winners; and 25 photographs were selected for the excellence prize. The student of Tibet University---MENG Shaogeng has obtained the first prize with his photograph “The happy time”.

The award ceremony of the photograph ceremony was presided by the China Youth Daily director, Mr. XU Haitao. The judges are: Mr. ZHANG Zuo, a well-respected photographer of China Youth Daily; Mr. YIN Jiahe, the Branding Project Director of China Youth Daily; Mr. WU Peng, a Member of the Council “China Photographers Association”、Executive Member of the Council  “Images Copyright Society of China”；Mr. HE Yanguang，the former Picture Director of China Youth Daily; Mr. WANG Wenlan, the Deputy Chairman of China Photographers Association、the Director of Photography of China Daily；Mr. XIE Hailong, the Director of Photography Copyright Society of China; Ms. ZhAO Yingxin, the director of China Photographic Publishing House；Mr. SHENG Xigui, the PhD Tutor of the School of Journalism、the professor of Renmin University of China；Mr. JIN Yongquan, the Picture Director of China Youth Daily；Mr. WANG Baoguo, the editorial director of Chinese Photography Magazine.

After 8 years of efforts and with the support and care of friends from all walks of life, "Asian Students Photography Exhibition" has established its importance and popularity among young people in the region. It has now become a platform for young students to share their ideas and appreciation of life, to show their talents and to strengthen their friendships.

To further enhance the understanding and communication among young generations across borders and cultures, the four organizers, the Education Forum for Asia, China Youth Daily, and China University Media Union have now officially launched this year’s event and are working together to build an Asia of increased harmony and prosperity.

The winners of the 8th “Asian Students Photography Exhibition” will be announced and awarded on the 25th of October 2013 at the “Education Forum for Asia Annual Conference”, which will be held in Chengdu. Please stay tuned！
