Abstract:

This article introduces financing and investment in educational field. It first of all presents the investment funds of Baring Private Equity Asia. With the investment management funds of US$ 650 million, Baring Private Equity Asia locates its headquarter in Hong Kong, and establishes branch offices in Shanghai, Singapore, India and United States. The article then analyzes the market in China and concludes that China’s education market provides excellent opportunities either for an investor or for an educational entrepreneur. It also makes comparison among educational products, teaching material and services. At last the article makes an analysis, in view of an investor, of how to figure out whether or not an enterprise can introduce investment and obtain funds. Three aspects should be examined: first, the business mode of the enterprise, second, the concepts that the leadership and managerial hold, third, the development scale of the enterprise.
