Ideas on the Trend of Reform & Development of Vocational Education in China

Abstract:

Under the situation of fast development of China’s vocational education and the transitions from the traditional mode of academic education to the government-guided mode of employability-oriented education, the author has proposed that we should give priorities to the vocational education required by the economic society development, to the profession of manufacturing, and to the improvement of capability for educating technical and skillful talents as well. The author also suggests that we should reinforce government regulations and unification, diversify systems for vocational education, and promote vocational education in rural and poverty-stricken areas, learn successful experiences from other countries, and innovate the vocational education mode and ideas with both international and domestic characteristics.
