H.E. Mr. Sergey Terechshenko, former Prime Minister, Kazakhstan
After being educated at the Kazakh State Institute of Agriculture, Mr. Sergey Terechshenko became the Chief Engineer of a farm in southern Kazakhstan. He then occupied various high posts at the regional and provincial level of the Kazakh Soviet Republic governments. He was the Governor of the Chymkent Oblast Province of the Kazakh Soviet Republic 1986-1989, the First Vice-Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh Soviet Republic 1989-1990, Vice-President of Kazakh Soviet Republic in 1990, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan 1991-1994, Acting Chairman of the Otan Party of Kazakhstan 1999-2002, President, Chairman of the Board of the Integration International Fund 1994 to the present, and Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of the Peoples of Kazakhstan 2002 to the present.
