 | Education Forum for Asia is an NGO that, since its origin in 2003, has been devoted to building bridges of communication in order to improve education throughout Asia and beyond. EFA is engaged in granting many scholarships to students throughout Asia each year, connecting different education groups in order to facilitate mutually beneficial exchanges, and increasing dialogue among many high level groups in order to assist in the development of education.  | ‘Gao Kao’ Cheaters Exposed During this year’s 2 day College Entry Exam, many students were discovered using high-tech devices to cheat. Those caught cheating were automatically given 0 on their exams and those responsible for selling the equipment are facing criminal charges. For more information, click here. |
 | New Technology Could Allow Students to Take Exams From Home A new technology has been created that may enable testing at home to be ‘cheat proof’. The new technology involves fingerprint scanning technology and locks down the internet so that the students cannot search online for answers. For more information, click here. |
 | Students Encouraged to Slow Down Their Reading A new movement in education is trying to focus more on absorbing and feeling the words that are on the page rather than trying to blast through as much information in as little time as possible.  | Radical Changes Underway in the UK Education System The changes now underway are being met with resistance from several bodies. The new plan is to create ‘free’ schools that are free from government intervention and control. All matters will now be up to private interests rather than the state.  | New Education Reforms Approved by Politburo New Plans for greater and more equal distribution of funds among public schools throughout China have been approved. The meeting of the Politburo was resided over by President Hu Jintao. The entire body agreed that education is the key to a prosperous China and continuous development into the future.
