On July 25th -26th 2012, Isabella Liu, deputy secretary general and executive director of Education Forum for Asia and her party were invited to participate in the 2012 International Youth Dance Festival, which was hosted by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau and co-organized by the Official Provisional Municipal Council of Macau and Education Forum for Asia.

During the stay in Macao, Ms. Liu paid a visit to Mr. Ou Rongzhi, member of Macao Foundation, Mr. Su Zhaohui, director of Tertiary Education Services Office of Macao, Mr. He Shaojin, president of The Chinese Educators Association of Macau and the host Mr. Liang Li, director of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau, and discussed the affairs of 2012 Annual Conference of Education Forum for Asia along with the details of the invitation of the cooperating agencies in Macau. In addition, they discussed the cooperation on Asia Foreign Study Scholarship Program, Asian Students Photograph Exhibition and 2012 International Youth Dance Festival and look into future cooperation prospect.

Ms. Liu’s party also visited Educational Resources Center under guidance of Mr. Lao Baisheng, deputy director of Education and Youth Affairs Bureau.

On July 27th, Ms. Liu visited the Education Bureau, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and met with Ms. Li Zhouruolan, the Senior education director. Ms. Zhou gave a detailed introduction of the Hong Kong education system, especially the preschool education system.

The visit enhances mutual understanding among EFA and its cooperative agencies and deepens our friendship and plays a positive role in better cooperation and docking of education system between mainland China and Hong Kong and Macao.
