The afternoon of December 22, 2009, Boao Forum for Asia’s Senior General, Education Forum for Asia Secretary General Yao Wang met with the Director General of the Hong Kong Talent Exchange Center Sun Peng.

     The two parties’ discussion was centered on collaboration between Hong Kong Island and the Mainland taking part in an educational exchange of their respective talent pools. The 2 made significant steps towards signing an agreement that will create a framework for action hoped to result in the cultivation of an effective talent exchange and a positive relationship.

The Hong Kong Talent Exchange Center is the first non-profit group of its type in Hong Kong that is making an effort to cross over into the Mainland. Its primary objective is to encourage mutually beneficial, cooperative exchanges. At present, they are primarily occupied with the current effort to exchange with the Mainland.

     Apart from the above mentioned parties, Education Forum for Asia’s Executive Director Liu Xiuhua, Education Forum for Asia’s Education Administrator Zhao Zhengyi, and Director of the Jiangsu chapter of the Hong Kong Talent Exchange Center Zhao Ye, also took part in the meeting.
